Real life Wolf of Wall Street's ex explained if iconic Margot Robbie nursery scene actually happened

The real ex of the Wolf of Wall Street has revealed if the iconic nursery scene from the 2013 flick was real or not.

Whether you've seen it or not, the Martin Scorsese-directed film is one of the most popular titles of the 2010s, finding its way into many of the memes and GIFs used today.

If you haven't seen it, the movie follows the life of stockbroker Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo diCaprio, and his rise in the late 1980s as a multi-millionaire, with drug-fuelled parties, sex-capades and more along the way.

It's based on the real Jordan Belfort's 2007 memoir - so obviously, not everything seen in the film is 100 percent real.

The movie is also remembered as Margot Robbie's breakout role, following her part on TV series Neighbours, where she plays Belfort's wife, Dr Nadine Macaluso, whose name was changed to Naomi Lapaglia, in the film.

Robbie has previously spoken about one of the more iconic scenes - the nursery seduction scene - where Naomi is mad at Jordan for cheating on her (again), so she punishes him by teasing him.

Apparently, it was meant to be more X-rated, involving her pulling her underwear to the side, but she said it was 'impossible' and instead improvised and her heel on diCaprio's face as he got closer. Power move.

But now, it seems like the authenticity of the scene as a whole has been clarified by the real life Dr Nadine Macaluso, who is now a psychotherapist.

Dr Macaluso, 56, runs a 'fact or fiction' series on her TikTok, with a video that she made in September clarifying the details of the famous nursery scene.

"Fact or fiction? When I caught the wolf cheating on me, I said to him, there's gonna be nothing but short skirts and high heels (around the house)," she stated, before playing a clip of the scene.

She revealed: "Fiction. I definitely didn't say that to him after I caught him cheating on me.

"And also, I'm just not that sexy. But it got me thinking. I guess maybe that was his fantasy, how he hoped I would behave."

She concluded with a wholesome fact: "But a little trivia. We did have those cameras in my daughter's nursery, because we wanted to keep her safe."

Speaking about how it was really like to film the scene, Robbie told Porter: “It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in.

“All men. And for 17 hours I’m pretending to be touching myself. It’s just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and absurdity, really deep, and fully commit,” she revealed.
