Report: Teddi Mellencamp Allegedly Had Affair With Her Married Horse Trainer Before Divorce Filing

When Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp filed for divorce from her husband, Edwin Arroyave, fans were floored. Soon, more information trickled out about their 13-year marriage being far from blissful. Of course, that is aside from their three children: son Cruz, and daughters Slate and Dove. Well, now there is a report that Teddi was allegedly having an affair, and galloped off to file for divorce.

An insider reportedly told The Daily Mail that Teddi has been having an affair with Simon Schröeder, her married horse trainer. Simon was working with Totally, aka Toad, Teddi’s horse. Allegedly, the couple was in Florida at the time that Simon’s wife, Karli Postel, was delivering their second child.

“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth. When Simon returned, Karli found text messages on Simon’s phone that exposed the affair,” the insider alleged. “She confronted Simon and Teddi about it and they confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again.”

However, it seems that the affair didn’t end. “Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him,” the source said. “But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become ’emotional.'” Add to that years of reported marital troubles between Teddi and Edwin.

This was supposedly not Simon’s first foray into cheating. “Simon had a history of cheating and Karli was tired of being connected to him. Edwin only learned of the affair late last month when Karli told him,” the insider stated.

So, once Teddi realized that Edwin knew, she beat him to the paperwork punch. I guess her friend Kyle Richards’ touch of inspiration wasn’t the only reason that Teddi filed. “She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery. It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around,” the source added. Of course, this report hasn’t been confirmed. But nobody was willing to give a comment to deny the claims.

Now the divorce is bound to get messy. Edwin filed his response to Teddi’s court papers, asking for joint physical and legal custody of their kids, while Teddi wanted to grant Edwin “reasonable and frequent visitation.”
