This staggering wealth surpasses the combined fortunes of Hollywood heavyweights like Brad Pitt and George Clooney. However, only a small portion of this wealth comes from her acting career. Gertz, who got her big break as a child, has appeared in 28 films and 174 TV episodes throughout her career.
The 59-year-old is best known for roles in Twister, The Lost Boys, Still Standing, and Sixteen Candles, as well as leading the cast of the sitcom The Neighbors. As of 2023, Gertz's net worth was reported to be a whopping £2.5 billion, outstripping stars like Margot Robbie, Robert De Niro, and Jennifer Lopez.

For all her film and TV roles combined, Gertz would have earned at least £952,070. However, this figure doesn't account for royalty payments, commission or inflation, so the actual total is likely much higher, reports the Express.
Even so, this sum represents just 0.039 percent of her current net worth. Gertz and Ressler, a businessman, have used their fortune to invest in sports teams and are part owners of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. They also hold minority stakes in the baseball team Milwaukee Beavers.
Ressler himself boasts a net worth of £8.5 billion, as per Forbes, largely due to his two finance firms, Apollo Global Management and Ares Management. Gertz has also generously donated a significant portion of her wealth to charity.
Both she and Ressler are renowned philanthropists, donating substantial sums through their charitable organisation, The Ressler-Gertz Foundation - primarily supporting an arts museum, education, Jewish organisations and temples, and health and human services.
Speaking of her wealth, Gertz admitted everyone "thinks she married a rich guy". In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said of her finances: "I made more money — way more money — than Tony when I met him. I paid for our first house. I paid for our first vacation. I married him because I fell in love with him."
The duo met in their 20s when Ressler knew she ‘was a working actress’. However, he didn't know quite how famous she was. “He was a nice guy with a job,” added Gertz. “Which is what any Jewish girl from Glenview would want. It would have been nice if it was a doctor or a lawyer, but a banker was OK, too.”
