Molepeople

Deadline reports Rob Savage (The Host, Dashcam) is attached to direct Molepeople, a found footage horror movie focusing on “one man’s nightmarish descent into the abandoned tunnels beneath the streets of New York City, where a twisted society lurks.” Anthony Ramos and Ben Mendelsohn are currently attached to star in project, based on a script by Nathan Elston (Succession). Notably, the new film seemingly has nothing to do with Universal Pictures’ 1956 film, The Mole People. 


Ridley Scott’s Alien

According to THR, Ridley Scott is now developing a new Alien film in light of Alien: Romulus‘ recent success.


Epilogue

Deadline also has word Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian will star in Epilogue, a new zombie film produced by Mike Flanagan. Based on a screenplay by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason, the story is said to be set “one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end” and  “follow a desperate couple who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.” Michael Fimognari is attached to direct.


Pinocchio: Unstrung

Variety also has word Robert Englund and Richard Brake will appear in Pinocchio: Unstrung, the latest film in the Blood & Honey “Poohniverse”.


Vampirina

TV Line reports Disney has ordered a live-action, “music-driven” series based on the Vampirina books by Anne Marie Pace and LeUyen Pham, said to be “inspired by the Disney Jr. animated series of the same name.” Vampirina will follow Vee (Kenzi Richardson), “a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school.”


Ghosts
