Rylan Clark basked in a deluge of affection as he marked a joyous turning point, celebrating his 36th birthday, with companion Rob Rinder giving him a notable nod and sharing the unique way they clicked.

The much-loved BBC Radio 2 host shared news of his birthday celebrations on Friday (October 25), delighting fans with a glowing new snap of himself on social media platforms, succinctly marked with "36," and an accompanying cake emoji to signify the occasion.

Celebrities and ardent followers alike were swift to flood the star with birthday felicitations.

Morning TV favourite Holly Willoughby was amongst the first, offering her good wishes with a heartfelt: "Happy birthday." Actress Claire Sweeney joined in, mirroring the sentiments with her own: "Happy birthday."

Vito Coppola, the Italian dancer famed for his performances on Strictly Come Dancing, sprinkled a bit of Mediterranean charm, wishing him with: "Buon compleannooooo," as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

In a touching tribute, Rylan's good friend Rob Rinder shared glimpses of their Italian adventures from the previous year, captured while making their own programme for BBC2.

With the images, the seasoned Good Morning Britain host posted a heartfelt note and discussed the origins of their bond: "Happy birthday @rylan beautiful on the inside and the outside... 'Friendship is born at the moment when one man says to another What! You too? I thought that no one but myself. .."

Rylan's admirers quickly swamped the post with complimentary comments, clearly touched by the two television personalities' camaraderie. Fervent fan @karenck88 commented: "Love your friendship. We need more beautiful role models like to inspire us. Happy Birthday Rylan and please do more work together."

Additional remarks from followers included: "This is beautiful. You are both gorgeous men," and jubilant encouragements like, "Love love these two together beautiful friendship hope they do more in tele. Happy Birthday Rylan."

Fans became the pair were together after they filmed their BBC Two show, but Rylan admitted they act "like a married couple". Appearing on the Table Manners podcast with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, Rylan said: “I find it funny because I adore him, but we are like a married couple; we row all the time and we don’t have sex.”

In another interview, Rylan previously explained what he is looking for in love. "Hopefully my luck with men is about to change," he said.
