Liam Payne: Guests arrive for funeral of One Direction singer

The entertainment world is in mourning as celebrities gathered on Wednesday to bid farewell to One Direction star Liam Payne, who was laid to rest following his tragic death over a month ago.

Liam Payne's family and close friends united in grief for the 31-year-old singer, who met with a tragic end after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16.

As Liam's coffin, transported by a horse-drawn hearse, arrived at the church, fans lined the streets to pay their respects. The funeral saw an emotional reunion of Liam's former One Direction bandmates – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik – as well as numerous other stars.

In a poignant show of solidarity, Zayn joined Harry, Niall, and Louis, marking the first time the group has come together in nearly ten years.

Cheryl, mother to Liam's son Bear, was also present among the mourners, supported by Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts as they all paid tribute to the late singer, reports the Mirror.

During the service, a moving homage from his son Bear brought tears to many eyes. Bear's floral tribute poignantly spelled out "Daddy," placed beside his father's coffin.

Liam's parents, Karen and Geoff, were met by the reverend as they arrived at the church, where their son's coffin, adorned with white roses, was solemnly carried inside by pallbearers.

Stars including James Corden, Rochelle and Marvin Humes, Simon Cowell, Robbie Keane, Damian Hurley, and Liam's partner Kate Cassidy were among those gathered to pay respects, despite the absence of some notable faces.

Music icon Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger, Liam's one-time mentor on The X Factor, couldn't make it to the service but reached out to Liam's family in their grief. Robbie, 50, expressed his condolences, saying: "You brought so much joy, light, and laughter to the lives of those that truly knew you. I will 'miss you' my friend and carry you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family."
