Roku will distribute Made for TV With Boman Martinez-Reid starting in December. The Crave Original Series features the social media star known for his “The Bodashians” Kardashian impersonation sketches.
“Fusing elements of sitcoms, mockumentaries and reality shows, each episode follows Boman as he tackles a new genre of television with the help of celebrity advisors and ‘real’ people,” a press release reads.
The six-episode series originally aired on Canada’s Crave this summer and sees Martinez-Reid attempt reality dating, cooking competition, news media, sports and competitive drag.
The show also features reality dating star Francesca Farago, Canada’s Drag Race winner Priyanka and Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby, among others.
Martinez-Reid boasts nearly three million followers on TikTok, and Made for TV marks his first foray onto the big(ger) screen. His “The Bodashians” sketches, which feature him assuming mannerisms similar to the famous Los Angeles family while navigating life’s mundanity, have garnered over 150 millions views. He also recently released a debut single and music video, “I Have a Thing.” He is represented by CAA, Range Media Partners and R&CPMK.
Made for TV with Boman Martinez-Reid was co-produced by Alibi Entertainment, with James Hyslop and Jo Virgo serving as executive producers. Martinez-Reid served as a story editors alongside Marushka Almeida and Kyah Green.
All six episodes of Made for TV with Boman Martinez-Reid will be available on Ruku on Dec. 1.
