Loose Women: Ruth Langsford cuts to break as panel chat divorce

Coleen Nolan is planning a girls weekend with Ruth Langsford, following recent heartache.

Last year, the Loose Women panellists found themselves to be single again after Ruth's split from Eamonn Holmes and Coleen calling it quits with Michael Jones.

Back in May via a spokesperson, Ruth and Eamonn shocked fans by announcing that they are in the process of a divorce following 14 years of marriage.

Last month, Coleen, who met her partner Michael through the dating app Tinder, revealed they had split after three years.

In response to a suggestion about the pair hitting the town as newly single women, Coleen, 59, revealed there is already a plan in place.

She told Woman Magazine: "I think we should! I'm not sure about nights out, but she's gonna spend a weekend with me.

"We're gonna have a girly weekend. I'm going to show her around and take her to the local pub, it'll be fabulous."

Coleen publicly supported Ruth through her high-profile split last year, following her own previous heartache.

Speaking to Bella Magazine, she said: “I support her like she supported me when my marriage was not in a good place.

"And Ruth was really supportive. That's what friends do.”

The mother-of-three also previously praised Ruth for the way she kept silent throughout her difficult ordeal.

"Ruth and I keep in touch all the time. She's back at work now, which is great because I really missed her," she spilled.

"I don't want to say too much because it's not my business to say Ruth's life, but what I will say from a friend's point of view is, I've never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride.

"She's just such a lady, more of a lady then I'll ever be, I would've spilled my guts right now - as I do, that's my problem, I say too much. She's been absolutely amazing, she really has," she added to Woman.

Meanwhile, Coleen has put her recent split down to her busy schedule and lifestyle adjustments, but said she and Michael remain friends.

The singer was previously married to actor Shane Richie for nine years, followed by Ray Fensome from 2007 to 2018.
