Samsung unveiled its S series in its Galaxy Unpacked Event 2025. The company launched three devices including Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the tech giant also teased Galaxy S25 Edge which was rumoured to be the Galaxy S25 Slim. Samsung has launched Galaxy S25+ with the same display of Galaxy S24+ including 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED with Galaxy S24 having 3120 x 1440 px, 19.5:9 ratio, 513 PPI and galaxy S25 coming with 3088 x 1440 px, 19.5:9 ratio, 509 PPI. Both the phones are equipped with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 peak brightness.
The biggest change that we saw in both the smartphones is in terms of hardware with Galaxy S25+ updating to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with Adreno 830 GPU, whereas, the Galaxy S24+ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SM8650 with Adreno 750 GPU. Both the smartphones are equipped with 12GB RSM and 256GB storage. Talking about the operating system, the Galaxy S25+ runs on company’s own One UI 7 based on Android 15 and Galaxy S24+ runs on One UI 6 based on Android 14.
As far as camera features are concerned, Samsung has launched the new Galaxy S25+ with the same camera specifications as Galaxy S24+. Both the smartphones are equipped with triple camera setup including 50 MP (OIS, PDAF), 10 MP (Telephoto), and 12 MP (Ultra-wide). For clicking selfies and video calling, both the phone features 12 MP.
The thickness of Galaxy S25+ has increased a bit as compared to Galaxy S24+ with 0.34 inches and 0.35 inches respectively. Both the phones are IP68 rating of water and dust resistant. For connectivity, the Galaxy S25+ comes with Bluetooth 5.4 whereas Galaxy S24+ comes with Bluetooth 5.3.
