Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband, Jesse James, and his current wife, Bonnie Rotten, asked a court to throw out the recent divorce she filed, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court records obtained by In Touch, Jesse, 55, and Bonnie jointly filed a “notice of nonsuit” on Monday, January 6.
The court now lists the case as “closed.” Bonnie, who has worked in the adult film industry, filed for divorce from Jesse on November 13, 2024.
She asked the court to grant her a restraining order, according to TMZ. Jesse responded to the divorce and filed his own counter petition for divorce on November 19, 2024.
Jesse and Bonnie wed in June 2022. They share a son named Bishop. According to TMZ, Jesse also filed his own request for a restraining order.
He asked that Bonnie be ordered to stay 100 yards away from him. In his petition, he listed several alleged incidents of abuse by Bonnie.
He claimed she once tried to break his finger and broke his wrist during another incident. Jesse also accused Bonnie of mistreating their cats and dogs.
He said he feared their son would copy Bonnie’s behavior. For her part, Bonnie claimed Jesse was the one who got physical in their marriage. She claimed he had slapped her in the face during one occasion.
She denied breaking his wrist, claiming she slammed a door that accidentally injured Jesse.
At the time, Bonnie told TMZ that she moved out of the home she shared with Jesse with their son.
She told the outlet, “For the safety and well-being of our child, I will not engage in litigating this matter in the press. I trust the legal process to address these issues appropriately and respectfully ask for privacy during this time.”
A couple of days later, the duo filed a motion to seal the court records, which the court granted.
The court docket shows Bonnie filed an amended divorce petition on December 3. Jesse filed a coparenting program certification on December 5.
A hearing was held on December 13, 2024.
Then, on January 6, Jesse and Bonnie filed the “notice of nonsuit” which means they do not wish to proceed with the case.
Based on social media, it appears Jesse and Bonnie may have reconciled. On December 28, 2024, Jesse posted a photo of Bonnie sitting in a chair while smiling on .
He captioned the post, “Cheaper to Keep’er….. …..but not by much.” On December 31, Bonnie posted a car selfie captioned, “Wishing everyone a happy and safe new year! 2025 here we come!” Jesse’s Instagram liked the post. Bonnie previously filed for divorce on December 1, 2022.
The couple reconciled for a few days before she filed again on December 6, 2022.
On December 12, 2022, the duo filed a joint “notice of nonsuit” and the second divorce attempt was dismissed.
Jesse was married to Sandra, 60, from 2005 to 2010. Sandra filed for divorce in Texas. Years later, Jesse admitted to cheating on Sandra during the marriage after years of rumors.
In 2017, Jesse told Daily Mail, “Yeah, I did cheat on my wife, yeah.”
He added, “I stood up and took accountability for it and apologized. And that’s end of story.”
