Saturday Kitchen star exposes 'most inappropriate' part of outfit which fans didn't spot

Saturday Kitchen guest Kate Carter-Larg claims fans missed "most inappropriate" part of her outfit.

Viewers were quick to complain about the toastie queen's outfit on Saturday (October 26) when she appeared on the BBC show to promote her food vendor business.

When speaking to Daily Star, she said exclusively: "Some of the comments were like 'she's cooking on a TV show - it's so inappropriate to wear those clothes'.

"But I don't know if you picked up on it but I was actually wearing some really ridiculous fluffy shoes and actually that was the most inappropriate thing to wear for cooking and if they pointed that out, then I would've actually agreed with them.

"However, I got up in the morning and I thought I had this one shot to star on BBC One at 10am, I may never get this again, so I wanted to wear something I felt really good in, so I wore that."

Fans deemed her look too "inappropriate" for the show - despite her wearing a simple brown strapless top and denim jeans. Kate added: "If you know me in real life or look at our social media page, I literally wear a strapless top all the time as I live by the beach.

Fans didn't even notice her shoes

"It's not like I wore a thong and nipple tassels - but that's how everyone is reacting," she laughed. "I thought I was going on TV to show off our toasties - I didn't even think about my arms being on show!

"The comments have been awful, you just can't win. People were picking holes in me for touching and adjusting my top, I didn't even realise I was doing it but people were like 'She just needs to have bigger boobs'. Seriously, who do they think they are commenting on what a woman should wear? It's not the 1950s, it's 2024!"

Mum-of-two Kate, 35, co-owns The Cheesy Toast Shack alongside her husband Sam, 39. Kate's Street Vendor of the Year Winner toastie business raises money for charity every month by raising funds for Alzheimer's UK. The entrepreneur added: "It's a shame and really sad none of that was even touched upon. It was brushed under the carpet.

"Instead, people wanted to concentrate on trying to pull a woman down very publicly. It's really not ok to troll people, as much as I can take it, not everybody can."
