Johnasson revealed that Rose told her she'd had stopped talking to a boy who liked her because she didn't like him back.

"I just had this conversation with my 10-year-old daughter about ghosting because there was this little boy that liked her, and then she wasn't feeling the same," said Johansson. "She just stopped talking to him straight up and he felt terrible. And I was telling her, I introduced the ghosting concept."

"It really makes the other person feel terrible about themselves. It kind of sets them on this spiral," she said.

Johansson revealed that she can relate to her daughter and that she has also ghosted people in the past. "I hate confrontation," she added. Still, she's firmly against ghosting, and says she would prefer to be dumped.

"Honestly being ghosted is awful because you're just left with no answers at all and you're thinking, 'Oh my god, did I do something?' " she continued. "It haunts you for years."

More details about Johansson's family

Johansson has two children: Rose and Cosmo, 3. Rose is from her previous marriage to the filmmaker Romain Dauriac. She had Cosmo with her current husband, the SNL writer and cast member Colin Jost.

Johansson is careful of revealing details about her personal life, but she's openly and hilariously discussed the challenges of parenting, especially once children start to grow up.

"It's really tough," she in the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. "I remember my daughter when she was 2, I said, 'This is great. I don't know what everybody is talking about.' And then she turned 3, and it's like being in an emotionally abusive relationship."
