Scheana Shay addressed spinoff rumors surrounding Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop, ‘Something About Her.’ The Vanderpump Rules alum also dished on Bravo’s original plan for her after season 8, and a claim that she took the Pump Rules firing the hardest.

In November, Bravo announced that the entire cast of Pump Rules was getting replaced. Its spinoff The Valley, however, is still going strong, and Scheana reportedly will film on it as a guest in some capacity. One report also claimed that the ‘OG’ castmates are now competing for spinoffs.

“The plan was for me to be on both [Pump Rules and The Valley],” said Scheana on the December 27 episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast, referring to plans after season 8.

She then addressed the ‘Something About Her’ spinoff rumor.

“I hope those rumors are true,” she said. “I think that would be a really fun and great opportunity for Katie and Ariana just to show other parts of themselves and their business on camera. So yeah, I hope that’s a rumor that’s true.”

Later on, a fan asked about Ally Lewber’s alleged claim that Scheana was the most upset by the Pump Rules shakeup. Earlier in December, Ally’s boyfriend, James, was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.

“[Ally and I] didn’t really talk about [the Pump Rules shakeup] that much,” Scheana explained. “We had a few texts, because she had reached out to me and said that [her boyfriend] James was taking it really hard and for me to check on him.”

“I’m not distraught. I wasn’t shocked at all,” Scheana went on. “I think the men, minus Brock, from what I’ve heard, took it the hardest – definitely not the women. I think we all were kind of in a place where we’re like, okay if [the show] continues, great. I did think there was more story to tell … we’ll just be telling that somewhere else now. But I think the women were kind of ready to move on to another platform to tell our stories.”

Scheana said the hardest part was not getting to work with “that crew anymore,” but hopefully they’ll “be able to work together on other projects.”

“I am excited for new opportunities ahead, outside of Vanderpump Rules,” she added. “It’s still all happening. It’s just happening a little differently.”
