The kids from School of Rock take their pledge of "allegiance to the band" very seriously. Though the Jack Black comedy came out 22 years ago, many of the former child actors and musicians attended the wedding of former co-stars Angelo Massagli and Caitlin Hale, who played tough roadie Frankie and pigtail-clad singer Marta, respectively.
Rivka Reyes, who played bassist Katie in the film, shared a video montage from the wedding to TikTok on Monday, January 6, and amongst the revelers were several more actors.
"Celebrating the marriage of CAITLIN & ANGELO with my forever fam 🖤 #schoolofrock #wedding" wrote Reyes in the caption. Fellow cast members Brian Falduto, Joey Gaydos Jr., Robert Tsai, Maryam Hassan, Aleisha Allen and Cole Hawkins were featured in the video. The former bandmates took silly pictures in the photo booth, sang their hearts out on the dance floor, and snuck selfies with the bride and groom.
In 2021, Massagli and Hale spoke to Inside Edition about the development of their relationship, which began when Hale sent a message in their "School of Rock Kids group chat" that she was moving to Florida, where Massagli lived. They met for lunch, and as Hale put it, "The rest is history."
Though romance didn't come into the picture until 2016, the duo actually met at their very first audition for the film. "They auditioned thousands of kids," Hale told the outlet. Massagli said he noticed Hale immediately, adding, "I get in there and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called in first and she starts singing show tunes and just blows the roof off the place. It was excellent."
Neither of the newlyweds continued with acting — Hale is an OB/GYN ultrasound technologist and registered diagnostic medical sonographer, while Massagli has remained a little closer to show business as a lawyer at a music company
