Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been dealt another disastrous blow while languishing in jail in New York.

The disgraced rapper, 54, is awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being charged with sex-trafficking and racketeering, which he denies.

Shortly before the Bad Boy star's arrest, Diddy reportedly returned the Key to New York following a request from Mayor Eric Adams after Combs' shocking assault on ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, became public. And now, Miami has followed suit, marking the latest fall from grace for the star.

Diddy was honoured with the ceremonial key in 2015 for his contributions to the music industry and his role in organising the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach, Florida.

However, TMZ reports that the Tell Me star has been stripped of the honour after Miami Beach mayor, Steven Meiner, and the city commission voted unanimously on the decision at an in-person hearing Wednesday. Sources says the mayor still has to officially sign off on the resolution, which is imminent.

In June, the city of Miami officially cancelled October 13 as Sean Diddy Combs Day. The decision was made after the Cassie Ventura video went viral.

After the widespread condemnation of the footage in which Diddy can be kicking the singer in a hotel corridor, the rapper was arrested last month in New York and later charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution.

Over the past year, he has been sued by several people who have brought civil actions claiming he subjected them to physical or sexual abuse, including his former girlfriend.

R&B singer Cassie, full name Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, has accused Combs of rape and a decade-long pattern of abuse that allegedly began when she was 19 years old. Diddy 'vehemently denied' Cassie's allegations last year and has pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Earlier this month, Texas lawyer ,Tony Buzbee, announced he is representing 120 new alleged victims, who intend to bring civil claims. The allegations are reported to have cases against the rapper that span the past 25 years. Of them, 25 claim they were underage when the alleged abuse happened.

Combs - who has performed under the names Diddy, Puff Daddy and Love - has had two bail pleas rejected while in jail, despite offering $50,000 (£38,000) for his release, and is expected to be behind bars until his trial begins on May 5, 2025.

If convicted, the Missing You star is looking at a minimum of 15 years behind bars, emerging at 69 years old. And if the courts decide on the extreme end of punishment, the rapper could find himself staring down the barrel of a life sentence.
