Seth Rogen as an embattled Hollywood studio exec and Catherine O’Hara lament red carpet influencers at the Golden Globes awards show in a sneak peak for Apple TV+’s The Studio, which dropped on Sunday ahead of the actual awards show.

“F—ck, what is happening to this town? I remember when the red carpet for the Golden Globes actually stood for something,” Rogen, who stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of the show’s embattled Continental Studios, says at one point in the teaser trailer. The culprit are influencers, adds O’Hara, who also hit the Golden Globes arrivals red carpet in the first clip from The Studio.

“Most of them don’t even go inside. They just make their red carpet TikToks and leave,” she insists. The sneak peek clip was released ahead of the 82nd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.

The Studio will follow Remick and his team of infighting executives battling their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords to make movies. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe.

The 10-episode half-hour comedy from Lionsgate Television, set to debut March 26 on Apple TV+, also stars  Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, with a guest star appearance by Bryan Cranston. Rogen also serves as writer, director and executive producer alongside Evan Goldberg.

The sneak peek clip was released ahead of the 82nd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. The series is created by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, along with Rogen, Goldberg and Frida Perez.

Point Grey Pictures’ James Weaver, Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen also serve as executive producers alongside Rogen and Goldberg.
