Sister Wives’ Christine Reveals 1 Concern Going Into Monogamous Marriage With David Woolley

Sister Wives star Christine Brown may have risen to fame for her polygamous marriage to Kody Brown, though she feels confident she’s meant for monogamy after celebrating one year of marriage with husband David Woolley. However, she did reveal she had one concern regarding their relationship.

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” Christine, 52, told Us Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday, October 30. She then added that she and David, 60, are “totally a partnership.”

After Christine left Kody, 55, in November 2021, she confirmed her romance with David in February 2023. They announced their engagement in April of that year and tied the knot six months later in October 2023.

“I absolutely love monogamy — I was made for it,” she said.

Despite feeling confident that she’s meant to be in a monogamous relationship, Christine admitted she had concerns as their relationship progressed. “I was a bit worried the day before we moved in together. I’d never lived with a guy full-time before,” she said. “But we moved right into life with each other.”

“I didn’t know that we could both accomplish and do everything that we want to do, but just better than we’ve ever done before,” the TLC personality continued. “It’s just mind blowing how having someone there to support you just makes you a better person. It’s phenomenal to me.”

While the couple has been married for one year, the early stages of their relationship are currently playing out on Sister Wives. “To get to see our show through David’s eyes has been fun,” she told the outlet about watching their early dates back. “He gets excited but then also [asks], “Why am I wearing that shirt?” It’s just really, really cute.”

Christine also reflected on David’s decision to appear on the show after living a relatively private life. While she said he “would prefer” not to be a reality TV star, Christine said he’s willing to star on the show because he “supports” her.

“He just realizes this is my life. But I did say, “You know, if you don’t want to do it, then you don’t have to,’” Christine continued. “But he’s been very gracious and kind with his time. I’m really, really just eternally grateful [that] he’s willing.”

After their wedding took place, the special day was featured in a TLC special in January. While promoting the special, Christine and David revealed that it was actually his idea to televise the ceremony during an exclusive interview with In Touch.

“We were talking about our wedding and things like that. And then just through the discussion he’s like, ‘Look, you have people that have been watching you for 14 years now and they’ve been following your story and now you have this romance and you have everything that you wanted. And I think they would appreciate watching it,’” she said at the time.

The couple said they originally went “back and forth” about filming the ceremony, though David thought Christine’s fans “would like watching it.”

While David said he would have been happy to elope in Las Vegas, he explained that Christine means “everything” to her fans and he wanted them to be included on their big day.

He also reflected on what it was like to film their wedding. “It was different to see all the cameras and everything and all this stuff going on,” David said. “I thought we were at a royal wedding, and it was like, ‘Wait a minute, this is my wedding.’ This is weird. Because there was too much attention going on. It was crazy.”
