Just two days after the winner of Hallmark’s first-ever reality competition, “Finding Mr. Christmas,” starred in his first movie, the network announced on December 23, 2024, that the show has been renewed for a second season, thrilling fans and many Hallmark stars.
Host and show co-creator Jonathan Bennett, a longtime Hallmark leading man himself, wrote on Instagram, “It’s a hit! Officially renewed for Season 2! Finding Mr. Christmas is returning for another season on @hallmarkplus”
Teeing up the next search for a future Hallmark hunk, he continued, “We are searching the world for a whole new group of guys who have the star quality it takes to be the next @hallmarkchannel leading man. Do you know a hunk who has what it takes?”
Kansas Native Ezra Moreland Won First Season of ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Each week on the eight-episode series that premiered on October 31, Bennett, his co-star Melissa Peterman, and a rotating cast of celebrity judges — including Tyler Hynes, Erin Cahill, and Nikki DeLoach — presented the show’s 10 hunky contestants with challenges, from filming a meet-cute scene to conducting press interviews.
“Finding Mr. Christmas” was a hit right out of the gate. Shortly after it began streaming via Hallmark+ on October 31, media critics and fans fell in love with the show. It was the Toronto-Sun’s “must-see-TV” selection of the week, Entertainment Weekly called it the “hap-happiest reality show of all,” and USA Today featured it in its recommended list of early holiday programming.
During the December 12 season finale, the last man standing was model and Kansas native Ezra Moreland, whose prize was landing his first-ever movie role. On December 21, he starred opposite Jessica Lowndes in Hallmark Channel’s final Christmas premiere of 2024, “Happy Howlidays.”
Paul Campbell Jokes That He’d Like to Audition for Next Season of ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Stars and fans alike responded to Bennett’s post about the series renewal, including longtime Hallmark actor Paul Campbell. The “Three Wiser Men and a Boy” star and co-writer quipped in the comment section, “How do I audition for the show?”
Bennett’s friend and “The Groomsmen” co-star B.J. Britt commented, “Huge Congrats brother!!!💚✨🎊”
“A Holiday Touchdown” star Hunter King chimed in, “I CANT WAITTTTT”

Hallmark has not yet announced when filming will begin for the second season of “Finding Mr. Christmas,” nor whether Peterman will return to co-star with Bennett.
