In a recent appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," McMahon opened up about her time away from WWE, explaining how important it was for her to step back and focus on her personal life.

Stephanie initially took a leave of absence to prioritize her family, returning in 2022 when her father, Vince McMahon, was under investigation.

However, after Vince reclaimed his position as Executive Chairman of WWE's Board of Directors, Stephanie resigned. Following that, she made occasional appearances on WWE TV but admitted that she truly needed a break from the company.

When asked about her time away and if she ever considered leaving for good, Stephanie admitted that although she never stopped being proud of WWE, she did want to "disappear for a while"—which she did.

She reflected, saying, "It was good for me—I needed it. And now, I'm back."

While she's back in the WWE orbit, Stephanie also emphasized that WWE will always be a part of her. "One of the things that I learned when I stepped away is that I'll never get away from WWE... it's a part of who I am and it's what I love."

Triple H also hinted that Stephanie may appear more frequently on WWE television as part of the "Netflix era" of content that's been increasingly integrated into the company.

Fans have been clamoring for her return, and it seems likely she may take on a more active role, though it's unclear if she'll take up an official backstage position.

For now, she's focused on a new project that WWE is developing—a series similar to ESPN's Peyton's Places, which will spotlight WWE's history and key moments, featuring prominent wrestling figures.

The series, which is still in development, will reportedly showcase conversations with stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Cody Rhodes, and fans are hoping it will land on Netflix, as the platform already hosts WWE Network in many regions.

This announcement came during a WWE town hall meeting on January 29, where Stephanie's involvement in the project was revealed, though few other details were shared.

Triple H noted that while Stephanie is passionate about WWE, she has prioritized time with their children, and any decision to return to a more formal role would depend on balancing that with her family life. Still, with this new project on the horizon, it's clear that fans haven't seen the last of her.
