Steven Bartlett is about to become an even bigger star in the US after signing with a top agent

Steven Bartlett is on the verge of cracking America after a tug-of-war negotiation has seen him sign with a top US agent.

The Dragons' Den star and host of Diary Of A CEO podcast, will be represented by WME after several top agencies tried to sign him. WME represents the likes of Adele, Kate Hudson, Ben Affleck, Jude Law and Kate Hudson.

The move means 32-year-old Bartlett will work more in the US and also get bigger American names on his podcast, which is already one of the most popular podcasts Stateside.

Steven said: “I could never have imagined podcasting would become what it has and I still find it surreal that there’s actually real people listening to the conversations we share. This whole crazy journey has been the most rewarding rollercoaster of my life. In the last two years, the US has become our largest global audience, and this partnership with WME feels like the right step at this time to better serve our listeners and to continue building on that progress. I will now be predominantly recording The Diary Of A CEO from LA and New York, whilst living more of the time in LA, and I’m excited to see what new opportunities emerge Stateside.

"My ultimate hope is that I can bring my audience more of the global stories from people they want to hear from.” The Diary of a CEO, is the world’s second-biggest host-led podcast across all platforms. It remains the No. 1 podcast in Europe and is the fastest-growing video podcast channel in the world, as well as the second-largest podcast YouTube channel globally. In November last year DOAC reached the milestone of 1 billion streams across all platforms and continues to grow at an exponential rate.

A source close to Stephen said: "He could have signed with several different agencies, they all wanted him and think they can make him a huge star over there, off the back of success he has had with the podcast.

"You can expect even bigger names on the podcast and big TV appearances coming up for Steven Stateside. He is only going to become more famous in the coming years."

Barlett's increased presence in the United States will also allow him to explore a growing number of opportunities across multiple media platforms as well as increasing his global speaking network, brand partnerships and business ventures, namely his San Francisco-based software company Thirdweb which was valued at $160m in 2022, by Shopify.

He is one of the leading young entrepreneurs in the UK and was the youngest-ever Dragon on the long-running BBC series Dragons’ Den.

WME is a leading global entertainment agency described as "representing a diverse roster of clients across film, television, music, sports, fashion, and more". They pride themselves on having a focus on building long-term partnerships and aim to offer unparalleled access to a global network of opportunities.
