Stevie Wonder has announced that he’s bringing his ‘Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart‘ tour to Los Angeles this December.
The limited engagement will be held on Dec. 14 at the Crypto.com Arena in celebration of the 25th House Full of Toys benefit concert. House Full of Toys benefits children, people with disabilities, and families in need. Concertgoers are asked to bring an unwrapped toy or gift of joy.
The tour was named after his new single, “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” and is being produced by Wonder Productions in partnership with AEG Presents and Free Lunch.
Free Lunch was founded by Amazon Music’s former Head of Hip-Hop and R&B, Tim Hinshaw, with the goal of “authentically bridging the gap between culture and corporate America.” Hinshaw’s mission statement reads, “Free Lunch is a safe haven for artists of all facets. We always leave the door cracked a little to let GOD in.”
The L.A. show announcement comes after the Songs In The Key Of Life singer sold out eleven performances nationwide from October through early November in Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Detroit, and more. The initial run was intended to promote “joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, and peace over war.”
As an early Christmas gift, Wonder will be offering a select number of complimentary tickets to “those in our communities who are already working tirelessly to fix our nation’s broken heart.”
Tickets for the upcoming one-night-only affair go on sale on Friday (Nov. 22) at 12 p.m. PT.
