Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts went into meltdown, convinced they've spotted 'Graziano Di Prima's potential replacement' in the show's latest ensemble photo. The BBC dance extravaganza teased us back in July with a glimpse of pro dancers refining their moves ahead of the new season's sparkle and spectacle, reports OK!.
Despite the recent buzz surrounding Graziano's departure, the behind-the-scenes image showed nothing but beaming faces. Amidst the snapshot of returning Strictly favourites, sharp viewers identified a familiar face: Joshua Keefe, renowned for his dance expertise, was present, prompting speculation that he might step in as a new pro. A die-hard fan exclaimed on a forum: "Joshua is back? ? Please, make him a pro this year! " Matching the excitement, someone else wrote: "This! 100% this! I would love to see him with a partner on Strictly." Another pointed out: "That's Josh Keefe, he was a pro on the Australian version and has been in a few Strictly pro routines."
Now, as series 20 holds the country's attention every weekend, devotees are sure they've glimpsed Joshua again, this time lighting up the live shows. A post in a Facebook group dedicated to 'Strictly Come Dancing 2024' sparked discussion by sharing an image of Joshua from the show along with the query: "Does anyone know who this chap is? Have seen him in the professional group dances a few times."
Fans were quick to recognise the man in question. One fan confirmed: "Joshua Keefe" while another added, "I thought that it was him alright." Another chimed in with: "Yes, he's currently on 'the legends' tour with other ex strictly guys."
Joshua has previously impressed in the Strictly ensemble and even performed on the most recent arena tour. He's also choreographed for Dancing With The Stars Ireland and competed on Dancing With The Stars: All Stars alongside his friend and RuPaul icon Courtney Act. This sighting of Joshua comes after reports that Graziano has reportedly hired top legal firm Whitestone Chambers to fight his case against the BBC.
The 30 year old dancer is aiming to clear his name and believes he has a case for unfair dismissal. Graziano was let go following alleged misconduct towards his celebrity partner, Zara McDermott, which he strongly denies.
An insider shared: "Graziano feels he wasn't allowed a fair opportunity to give his side of the story so has been heartened to hear the legal team think he has a case for unfair dismissal. The top lawyers at Whitestone Chambers have scanned through thousands of messages between Graziano and Zara and the other Strictly dancers."
