Southern Charm‘s Taylor Ann Green reveals she wasn’t “surprised” by Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s breakup, hinting Craig “always wanted more,” and Paige “groom[ed] him” to be “the ‘it’ guy.” Meanwhile, Craig reportedly unfollowed Paige’s co-stars Amanda Batula and her husband Kyle Cooke, and fans reacted.
In recent interviews, Amanda and Kyle suggested that Craig refuses to debunk rumors that Paige cheated on him because he wants fans’ sympathy. The couple believes that Paige revealed the breakup gracefully.
Throughout their relationship, Craig and the Summer House star had different ideas about when they should get married and have kids. Paige also seemed uninterested in moving from New York to Charleston, where Craig lives, though it was initially their plan.
In an interview with Decider, Taylor shared her reaction to the breakup.
“I wasn’t all that surprised,” she said. “I mean, I do find them to be a very good match and I wish them both the best, but I think that Craig just has always wanted more.”
Taylor said she recently heard someone’s suggestion that Craig should date The Bachelor winner Rachael Kirkconnell, who is recently single.
“I immediately perked up. I was like, now that I could see happening,” said the star. “She is adorable. She seems like she’s ready to settle down. She probably would look at Craig’s house and be like, ‘Take me in. Sweep me off my feet. I will say yes tomorrow.'”
“I think that Paige really did kind of groom him,” Taylor continued, “to be the ‘it’ guy. Like whoever he decides to date next is gonna be the person he’s gonna marry.”
Around the same time, @bravohousewives reported that Craig unfollowed Amanda and Kyle after their recent interview.
Fans then reacted in the comments.
“Paige led Craig on while all of Bravo nation watched. It’s sad,” wrote one user.
“I haven’t even heard much of Craig in social media about his and Paige’s break up,” said another. “Plus Kyle and Amanda fight like dogs and have no chemistry.”
“I feel Paige did string him along knowing damn well she never wanted to marry him or have kids,” wrote a third.
Another fan suggested that both Paige and Craig “just wanted to be in two shows,” and ultimately, it “wasn’t convenient.”
