A 66-year-old woman has gone missing after falling overboard from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise, according to the US Coast Guard. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, fell from the Royal Caribbean ship Allure of the Seas, about 17 miles north of Nassau, Bahamas.
The search is being led by The Royal Bahamas Defense Force with assistance from the Coast Guard. The four-night voyage, known as the In My Cruise Era, is themed around the pop star but is not officially affiliated with her.
The cruise set sail from Miami to the Bahamas on Monday and was due to stop in Nassau on Tuesday before heading to Royal Caribbean's private island, CocoCay, on Wednesday. It was then scheduled to return to Miami on day five.
Approximately 400 people were on board for the cruise, which featured karaoke, a dance party, and friendship bracelet trading. Royal Caribbean stated that search efforts began immediately after the woman fell off the ship, reports the Mirror US.
