Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend is "desperate" to reconnect with the 35-year-old popstar as Joe Alwyn lands in Hollywood, despite the fact she has moved on with the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce.
Alwyn is in Hollywood for promotional work on behalf of his new movie The Brutalist and seems keen to catch up with his former partner, who owns a home in Los Angeles, although there is nothing romantic there.
The 33-year-old actor, who has been busy with his career, has been reflecting on his six-year relationship with Taylor Swift which abruptly ended in 2023 as she went on to date The 1975's Matt Healy before finding Kelce.
"Initially, the breakup was tough for both of them, filled with hurt feelings," a source shared to RadarOnline.com. "However, things have settled down, at least for Joe.
"They shared six years together, and those memories will always be a part of him. He hopes they can both reflect on their time together positively.
"For him, the best way to achieve that is by reconnecting and having a heartfelt conversation,. This doesn't imply a romantic revival.
"Joe genuinely cares for Taylor and wishes nothing but the best for her. He hopes she feels similarly about him."
Alwyn wants to meet Travis Kelce
While there is no intention of disrupting Swift's current happiness, Alwyn is reportedly open to meeting Kelce as well, believing that their paths may inevitably cross within the tight-knit entertainment industry.
The 35-year-old professional athlete has slowly began to venture into the entertainment industry by hosting some television shows, as well as going on to star in FX's Grotesquerie show as Ed Laclan. He will also appear in Happy Gilmore 2.
Meanwhile Alwyn has also been busy with several other film projects, including the adaptation of Hamnet, based on the novel by Maggie O'Farrell, and Hamlet, where he plays Laertes. Both films are expected to add to his already impressive body of work, which includes his recent Golden Globe recognition for The Brutalist.
