Team Penske has made a major announcement about leadership changes within their organization. Tim Cindric will be stepping back from his active leadership role.

Despite this, he will still hold the title of president of the IndyCar team and stay connected with Penske's non-NASCAR and non-sports car teams.

Tim Cindric, who is NASCAR driver Austin Cindric's father, is well-known for his impact on Team Penske's success, having led the team to numerous victories across different motorsport disciplines, encompassing endurance racing, stock car racing, and IndyCar.

His leadership has brought the team three consecutive Cup championships, dual Indy 500 wins, back-to-back Rolex 24 victories, and titles in both the IMSA and WEC series.

Tim Cindric shared that this change was his personal decision. He mentioned:

"I have lived my dream job for the past 25 years as the overall leader of the Penske Racing organization.

"I've had the opportunity to work with some of the best people in the business while achieving many milestones together.

"I've decided I need to make a change that provides me with the flexibility I need at this stage of my career. I appreciate the understanding Roger has provided throughout our conversations, and I'm confident this team will continue to succeed as we have a proven leadership team in all areas."

Team Penske enjoyed a successful 2024, gaining accolades across various racing fields. The team stood atop the podium for the second year in a row at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and secured their second consecutive Indianapolis 500 win.

In NASCAR, they achieved their third consecutive championship. Furthermore, Team Penske clinched victories in both the IMSA and WEC championships, reinforcing their top-tier presence in the racing world.

The impressive track record under Cindric is further highlighted by 10 wins at the Indianapolis 500, three Daytona 500 wins, and triumphs in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
