Kevin DiCiccio, the owner of the famous golden retriever Buddy who starred in the famous 'Air Bud' movies, is in a desperate situation.
Buddy's owner, who helped create the 11-film saga about the dog who was able to play basketball, is homeless, suffering from health problems (he has to use an oxygen concentrator that needs to be connected to electrical power) and is about to be evicted from the shelter where he is staying, according to TMZ.
Kevin DiCiccio's 'curse' after taking in Buddy the dog
Kevin, who took in Buddy after finding him near his cabin in Yosemite, never made any money from the Disney film saga and went bankrupt.
After going bankrupt, he went into a long depression and was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease from the use of medicinal marijuana.
Buddy, the 'canine Michael Jordan', died on February 10, 1998.
There is no doubt that the canine Michael Jordan marked a generation (the popular Disney film was released in 1997) and has not been forgotten.
