The Traitors' Meryl Williams reveals what she did after winning

One The Traitors star used their prize money for gruelling surgery.

While on the You and Me podcast, Meryl explained: "It's been a year and a half since I got my forehead reduction. After the show, I had money from winning it and I was like: 'What will I do?' I quit my job and then I was like: 'I really wanna get it done.'"

"It's one of those, they basically cut along the hairline and then he shaved the bone, so my bone on my forehead was quite prominent so it kind of came out a little bit. It was not cute!"

"Peeled the skin up, shaved the bone, they remove the extra skin and stitched it back up. The swelling takes quite a long time to go down. Yeah, it was quite bad [painful], yeah."

Meryl explained that although she was in pain, this was "not the most painful surgery she's had" and she's "had quite a lot".

The Traitors star rose to fame on the BBC gameshow during the first season back in 2022. She won her series alongside Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski, was 25 at the time and working as a call centre agent.

The Edinburgh lass explained why she applied for the show before she appeared: "The fact that it's brand new interested me the most."

"The fact that it's the first time it will be filmed in the UK, there is nothing that people can compare it to and I can make my mark on it. It sounds like a really good experience, especially up in the Scottish Highlands as I live in Scotland.

Meryl later participated in a celebrity special of The Weakest Link for charity, during which she was voted off after being unable to solve an anagram.
