The Traitors Season 3 Premiere: Most Jaw-Dropping Moments

11 hours ago 3

The Traitors Season 3 is streaming on Peacock, and the ratings are out of this world! If the remainder of this season follows the same path as the first several episodes, we are likely in for a messy, wild ride. From unexpected Traitors to laughable Faithfuls to shocking plot twists and oh-no-they-didn’t exiles, Season 3 is a gift that will likely keep giving (and taking).

As only three episodes have dropped, one might expect to see relatively small showings of drama in the Scottish Highlands thus far. However, needing to keep this series fresh, host Alan Cumming and the producers are switching up this game left, right, and center. Thankfully, their efforts are already paying off, leaving us all in on Season 3.

Thank you, listed chaos carriers, for your escapism-styled services displayed in The Traitors. These are our favorite WTF moments from Episodes 1-3.

Episodes 1-2 included two surprising twists via “Boston” Rob Mariano

After the all-black caravan arrived at the Scottish Highlands, the contestants emerged and stood in a line, eager to start this game. But then Alan appeared with “Boston” Rob Mariano, giving us the first plot twist on The Traitors Season 3. Within the first 10 minutes of Episode 1, Alan asked if any player would be willing to step forward and shake his hand. In return, this player could eliminate any other player from the game, and Rob would then take over their vacant spot.

But no one stepped forward. Then, at the end of Episode 1, Rob returns via a forest encounter with Alan. In the secrecy of the woods, Alan told Rob that he would be one of three new players entering the game in Episode 2. In addition, Rob would be walking into the castle as a Traitor.

Naturally, this strategic player was all in. As Episode 2 aired, we saw the cast learning about this plot twist. They were all shocked, but they still worked hard to find coins, which they used to lower the cages of their three new competitors. Little did they know that after that first round table meeting, Rob would be one of the sneakily cloaked Traitors plotting their murders.

Episode 2 shockingly introduced Wes Bergmann and Derrick Levasseur

As Episode 2 rolled along, we learned that Wes Bergmann and Derrick Levasseur were also entering the castle. Their fellow competitors likely loathed this big reveal, as all three men are strong players. Therefore, their entrance into the games might cause them to be murdered or eliminated at a faster rate, which sucks.

However, unbeknownst to them, Wes and Derrick were secretly earmarked as Faithfuls. Wes has strategies for days. So even though he is sitting on the side of the righteous, his actions will likely top all traitorous moves made as these games advance.

Yet, neither Wes, Rob, nor Derrick were eligible for murder or banishment at the first roundtable. As Alan explained, they also were not allowed to vote on the fate of anyone else. Luckily for them, this helped keep the proverbial blood off their hands during the first elimination. But their fellow competitors best be prepared, as when these men fully enter the fray, all bets are off.

The Traitors quad is perfectly imperfect

Before Rob entered the competition, Alan held interviews to determine who his selected Traitors might be. These one-on-one interviews were hysterical. Every star in this series carries delusions about who they are and how they wish to proceed in this game. Nevertheless, Alan dramatically tapped on the shoulders of three players, anointing them as the Season 3 Traitors.

Bob the Drag Queen and Danielle Reyes are both Traitors. Yet, neither knew this in their first challenge. Knowing they were safe from murder, they agreed to exit the rowboat and lose a shot at the shield. Watching them sit on the floating dock where they chatted and deceived each other was priceless.

Bob and Danielle are excellent choices. Bob is a comedic breath of fresh air, while Danielle is calm and calculated. These legends squealed when they saw each other in the turret later that night. Their cheers grew louder as the third Traitor, Carolyn Wiger, entered the room.

So far, Danielle and Bob are doing the most, overly chatty and emotional about the antics of the Traitors. They create flawless television, yet Bob has also loudly declared, “From one Traitor to another,” in a non-enclosed room, which, yikes. These two are far from perfect in their new murderous roles, and we cannot wait until one plays their hand a bit too hard, casting speculations in their general directions.

Meanwhile, Carolyn has a non-existent poker face, watching on with large eyes as her fellow killers moan and groan nearby. Carolyn is an erratic yet strong game player. Her all-over-the-map responses will serve her well in this game. Mark our words.

And now, Rob has entered the chat. We are here for all of their messy murders.

Both murders involve Real Housewives stars

Several months ago, we accurately predicted the first murder. Sorry, Dorinda Medley. Being Dorinda, she still managed to squeeze in a bit of product placement before her fake death, courtesy of her nighttime “Nice” eyemask. We will miss you, Faithful Dorinda.

Then, the second murder involved another Real Housewives star. In Episode 3, the Traitors murdered Chanel Ayan. The Traitors hoped to create mass confusion in the castle, and their plan worked. The remaining Housewives now feel like they are sitting ducks in Scottland.

During Season 2, Phaedra Parks expertly read her fellow contestants on The Traitors. She ruled the roundtable, and when anyone challenged her, they immediately regretted it. Are these new Traitors now strategically ousting these talkative professionals first? Or are they murdering these messy stars in a mind-f*ck way, trying to confuse, divide, and conquer their fellow housemates on The Traitors?

Whatever they are doing, it is working. The two remaining Housewives are mad, annoyed, and confused, unable to decipher who is killing them off right from the jump. Watching them trying to find their serial slayers is fun.

Two strong Faithfuls were also banished

Murders happen under the secrecy of night. In contrast, banishments are a whole class assignment, as every contestant votes on who they would like to kick out of their castle. Roundtable remarks are always catty and emotional, as the goal is to find and fling away every potential Traitor lurking in their midsts.

Poor Wells Adams. Like many others, he underestimated Robyn Dixon. Wells called Robyn out at the first roundtable, but Robyn flipped the script. As a result, their fellow competitors sided with Robyn, banishing Wells, a Faithful, from the castle.

At the next roundtable, another strong Faithful met his demise. Goodbye, Tony Vlachos. Before his exit, a wounded Tony revealed his status as a Faithful. Tony then labeled Rob as a sellout for turning on him.

Overall, this game is getting messy. Consider us seated as the chaos continues on Season 3 of The Traitors.
