This Morning presenter Alison Hammond showed off her incredible body in a mermaid outfit as her co-hosts showered her with compliments following her 11st weight loss
Alison Hammond has been showered with praise after flaunting her staggering 11st weight loss. The telly favourite wowed her This Morning pals as she paraded her transformed figure in a mermaid costume on air.
Currently starring as the Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan, Alison is making waves at the Birmingham Hippodrome for the second consecutive year. According to The Daily Mail, the 49 year old joined a video call with Dermot O'Leary, 51, Josie Gibson, 39, and Kate Lawler, 44.
The trio were gobsmacked when they heard a familiar voice exclaim: "Yoo Hoo! " Kate responded, questioning if it was the beloved presenter, only to be greeted with another cheerful "Yoo Hoo!"

Then Alison made her grand entrance, leaving jaws on the floor as she emerged in a shimmering blue mermaid dress, casually asking Josie and Dermot how they were. However, the duo struggled to keep their cool, gushing over how "incredible" and "amazing" their pal and co-star looked.
Kate even chimed in, exclaiming: "It's mermazing! You look like you've just swum out of the Little Mermaid."
Squashing widespread speculation, Alison clarified that her impressive 11st weight loss wasn't due to Ozempic, the notorious diabetes medication favoured by celebs for slimming down. Instead, the This Morning star opened up about her decision to shed the pounds following her mum's death, who had been worried about Alison's pre-diabetic condition, reports the Mirror.
Alison's weight loss journey, from a staggering 28st at her heaviest, was no quick fix but rather a simple strategy. She ditched sweets and fatty foods and began working out with a personal trainer.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK about weight loss jabs, Alison said: "I think that, for people who need to use them, they're a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened. So I haven't wanted to use them, but that's not to say I wouldn't in the future, and I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone who did.She added: ".
She continued: "My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening. I thought: 'I have to be an adult about this'. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods.
"Twice a week, I see my personal trainer and I have a couple of weights in my bedroom. I walk, I stretch and sometimes I do a bit of yoga."
In addition to shedding the pounds, she made the thoughtful decision to sell her old size 26 clothes to raise funds for charity in memory of her late mother, who died in 2020 from liver cancer.
On the What If? podcast with Lorraine Kelly and her daughter Rosie Smith, Alison expressed her desire to prioritise her health and wellbeing while managing her busy lifestyle.
She stated: "I want my journey to empower others to think about making changes to their lifestyle to become the best version of themselves."
