This New Mystery Comedy Is The Top Show On Netflix Right Now

“A Man on the Inside” is currently the most popular show on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The new mystery comedy stars Ted Danson as a retired engineering professor who takes a job with a private detective and goes undercover at a San Francisco retirement home in search of a missing ruby necklace. Created by Michael Schur, the show is based on the 2020 documentary “The Mole Agent.”

“A Man on the Inside” premiered on Nov. 21 to mostly positive reviews. The cast also features Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada and Stephanie Beatriz.

“Dune: Prophecy” is the most popular show on Max right now. Set in the sci-fi universe created by author Frank Herbert, the series is a prequel to the 2021 film “Dune” and takes place about 10,000 years earlier.

This new installment in the franchise premiered on Nov. 17, with new episodes dropping on Sundays until Dec. 22. Emily Watson, Olivia Williams and Travis Fimmel star.

The new drama “Cruel Intentions” premiered on Nov. 21 on Amazon Prime Video.

Based on the 1999 cult classic movie (which is itself a modern retelling of the Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ 1782 novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses”), the series follows two wealthy and manipulative step-siblings who scheme to seduce the vice president’s daughter.

The new stand-up comedy special “Jim Gaffigan: The Skinny” premiered on Hulu on Nov. 22.

In keeping with his usual style, comedian Jim Gaffigan tackles a range of topics in this special, including ― as the title references ― his recent weight loss.

“Bad Sisters” is trending on Apple TV+ following the premiere of the second season on Nov. 13.

Set in Dublin, the Irish black comedy follows five sisters who find themselves embroiled in an investigation after the untimely death of one of their husbands. “Bad Sisters” stars Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson.
