Tom Brady Is Reportedly Taking a Break From This Aspect of His Life Amid Gisele Bündchen Pregnancy News

Tom Brady reportedly had the shock of his life when his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen told him she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Joaquim Valente. The unexpected news likely forced him to realize that the 44-year-old supermodel was putting her chapter in life with him behind her.

The retired NFL player is in a major transitional period of his life both personally and professionally. He started a broadcasting job with Fox Sports that has been a bit bumpy from the beginning and according to Page Six, he’s also putting his dating life on hold. Instead, a source confirmed that Brady “is super focused on his kids and work.”

The 47-year-old athlete, who seems to have a thing for models, started dating Irina Shayk in late 2023 after his divorce from Bündchen had been finalized. The on-again, off-again situationship lasted about four months, but it never seemed like it was headed in a serious direction. “Tom enjoys Irina’s company, but he’s still in a transitional period after his divorce and not looking to settle down [yet],” an Us Weekly source shared in January. 

Over the summer, Brady was linked to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Brooks Nader, who recently appeared on Dancing With the Stars. “They’ve been hooking up this summer, having rendezvous in different cities. It’s casual. She has a very active social calendar and likes to party, and Tom is often with the kids and doesn’t like the nightlife scene,” an insider divulged to People. 

Now, Brady is taking a step back from dating while he deals with Bündchen’s news that reportedly left him “stunned,” per Page Six. “Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin, but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” a second insider said in late October. “It just wasn’t something that was on his radar.” 

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback probably needs time to process the surprising news and realize that his time with Bündchen is officially over. It’s OK to mourn a relationship — and by taking a step back from his dating life, Brady will hopefully find himself in a better place.
