Tony Buzbee and Jay z’s back and forth in the media has been pretty entertaining these past few weeks, but it may be over soon.
Media Take Out is hearing rumblings that the Houston lawyer is likely preparing to drop his lawsuit against the most successful hip hop artist in history.
We spoke to an attorney who has worked with Tony Buzbee in the past, and he suggests that the Houston litigator is likely to drop his lawsuit against Jay “by Christmas.”
The attorney told Media Take Out, “Buzbee likes to play offense, not defense. For him, every lawsuit is an economic decision. If he thinks he’l make more money by staying in, he’ll continue with the lawsuit. But if it’s costing him money, he leaves.”
The attorney believes that Jay Z’s legal strategy – of going after Tony directly, damaging his reputation, and encouraging others to bring suits against Buzbee – is costing the Houston lawyer big bucks.
Our lawyer insider continued, “Buzbee is going to have to be prepared to spend millions of his own money, to take on Jay Z. That’s not his style.”
Here’s our insider’s prediction. “Buzbee will either withdraw from the case, or drop it altogether on Christmas Eve. No reporters are working then, and no one would probably know until after New Years.”
That would be a welcome Christmas gift for The. Carters.
