Tristan Thompson calls Khloe's niece Dream Kardashian his daughter

Tristan Thompson has people confused after he called Khloé Kardashian's niece, Dream Kardashian, his daughter. The NBA player shared a selfie-style video with Snapchat where he said he had two daughters, "Dream and True." Dream's parents are Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian Jr.

In the clip published by Page Six, Thompson says, "I have two daughters: Dream is my oldest daughter, and True is the second oldest. Those are my two girls, and I miss you guys so much," he says in the video. It would be a little weird if the 8, and 6-year-old girls had Snapchat accounts, so the whole video is a bit odd. 

Media outlets like Hollywood Unlocked shared the video, which made its way to Dream's mom, Blac Chyna, whose real name is Angela White. "Dream has one mother, Angela White, and one father, Robert Kardashian. I usually don’t speak up, but I’m done" the 36-year-old wrote. "Stop all this clout chasing involving my daughter!”

The model also cleared the air on co-parenting with Rob, saying, "As parents, we have joint custody, and we also have a beautiful, healthy co-parenting relationship."

What could Tristan be talking about? 

Tristan was last believed to be living with Khloe, who has made headlines in the past for her involvement in Dream's life. In a July 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Scott Disick asks about her planning her birthday party.

“For everything you have going on, to do this,” he tells Khloé. “Oh my gosh, I love her,” she tells Disick. “I just can’t believe you’ve become somewhat of co-parents... you’re like more than an aunt,” he continues.

Koko agrees, calling herself a “third parent.”

She later clarified her comments, “Dream and I are particularly close. My brother and I are extremely close. I am with Dream all the time because I’m with my brother all of the time. I love her beyond measure," she wrote on her IG story. 

The Good American founder, who also shares Tatum with Thompson, went on to explain that her daughter, True and Dream are “best friends." 

So if Tristan is still living there, his bond with Dream could be so strong that he considers her to be like a daughter. 

Tristan faces backlash

Of course, Tristan's video did not come without some backlash. The baller has an older son named Prince that fans have always criticized his parenting about and he has reportedly never met the love child he welcomed with Maralee Nichols when Koko was pregnant. 

"Yah cause he was tripping .. he don’t even claim his own son," read one of the top liked comments on the Hollywood Unlocked post. He did have some supporters with one person writing, "Idk my mom used to claim my close friends as her daughters, and their parents did the same for me…maybe he didn’t mean it in a harmful way?"
