Kelsey’s mom influenced her life

Bachelor star Kelsey is opening up on The Squeeze this November, but fans will have already seen her talk about her mom while on the ABC show.

Sitting down with Joey during season 28, Kelsey wanted to share some details about her family.

She told her husband-to-be: “She’s such an amazing woman, she’s so caring…

“Her energy was just so positive, and then about 10 years ago she got diagnosed with breast cancer…”

Kelsey continues: “It metastasized in her bones,” before breaking down in tears.

“They gave her six months,” she adds.

“After that, it was very aggressive and after about two months she passed away.”

The Bachelor star said her experience on the show was “a little hard” given how her mom wouldn’t be there at her wedding.

Kelsey added how her father told her she’s “her mother’s child,” telling her how she’s “so brave.”

Speaking on The Bachelor, Kelsey said: “It felt really nice,” that Joey was “telling her the qualities she described in her mom were something that he saw in her.”
