Una Healy shared that she was hospitalised after her “body went into shock” during a recent health scare.
The Saturdays singer was left in A&E overnight in Clonmel, Tipperary during the lead-up to Christmas.
She explained that she had gotten really severe food poisoning following lunch with a friend.
Una admitted that her mother thought that she was having a heart attack during the scary incident.
“It was so severe that my body actually went into shock and my blood pressure dropped really, really low,” she told the Sunday Independent’s Life Magazine.
Una’s body had been shaking because of her low blood pressure as she shared that she had never experienced “anything like that before”
She added: “Luckily my parents were there and knew what to do. My body started shaking because my blood pressure was so low, it was quite frightening.
“My mother thought I was going to have a heart attack so she phoned the ambulance and they put me on an IV drip and brought me to Clonmel (hospital), and I was there to 6.30am the next morning.”
She added: “I'd never experienced anything like that before but I was definitely in the right place at the right time because my parents were there.”
Una is set to take part in Netflix’s new reality show, Celebrity Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls.
She explained that the last time she was unwell was during her time filming the show.
“I don’t think I can say too much, or how well I got on, but I know that I did my kids proud and that I did my best,” she said.
She is one of 12 celebrity contestants on the show, with other stars including Shirley Ballas, Mel B and Danny Cipriani.
The Tipperary native noted that her children were very supportive of her decision to take on the reality show.
“If they’d been worried about me or didn’t want me to do it, I wouldn’t have done it. But they were 100% behind me,” she explained.
“I said ‘There’s a chance I might be out first and, if I am, I’ll be back in a few days’ and Tadhg looks at me and says “Why are you saying that?’ I want you in there, we want you to win! Don’t have that attitude! Be in there until the end!’”
