VCARB has once again seized the Las Vegas spotlight with the reveal of its glittering new car livery for the upcoming Grand Prix. Known for its dazzling night race setting, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is the 22nd stop in the 2024 season and promises a race that embraces the colorful and vibrant spirit of Sin City.
This race offers a fitting backdrop for VCARB's latest creative venture as part of the final three races of the season.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix, with a track spanning 6.201 kilometers, featuring 17 challenging corners and a nearly two-kilometer straight stretch, presents an exciting weekend for fans. While a race initially came to be in 1982 within the confines of a parking lot at Caesars Palace, its revival in 2023 brought a resurgence of interest and excitement to the Formula 1 calendar. The return has cemented Las Vegas as a prime location capable of hosting the pinnacle of motorsport.
VCARB has unveiled a special glitter livery for their VCARB01 car. This new design celebrates the extravagance of Las Vegas, and drawing inspiration from the Cash App Visa Glitter Card, the livery features a striking blue and green gradient interwoven with glitter effects. Drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson will also be wearing matching team kits, and the garage setup will mirror the fun.
Peter Bayer, the chief executive officer of VCARB, said the following via a press release sent to Newsweek Sports: "It wouldn't be Las Vegas without a touch of glitter and as the home of glitz, it only felt right to bring this livery to the Las Vegas race. It holds a special place in the team's history as it's where we launched VCARB earlier this year.
"Since then, creative collaboration with our partners has led to outstanding liveries beyond the norm, allowing us to disrupt the way we do things in Formula 1, as we've seen in Miami and Singapore. I look forward to seeing the VCARB01 shimmering under the lights on track."
VCARB's co-title partnership with Cash App is instrumental in the team. Catherine Ferdon, Chief Marketing Officer of Cash App, said the following.
"With our co-title sponsorship of VCARB, we aim to bring the magic of Formula 1 to more people and make the sport more accessible."
Sauber has introduced a flame-themed livery, while Alpine has opted for a vibrant pink design, and Ferrari plans to celebrate the release of Ridley Scott's "Gladiator II" in their designs this week. Meanwhile, a collaboration between Mercedes, rapper Tyler the Creator, and Lewis Hamilton's +44 clothing brand also makes a stand.
Amidst this colorful backdrop, the competitive front of the championship remains intense. Max Verstappen currently holds the lead with a 62-point advantage over Lando Norris. With the imminent Las Vegas Grand Prix and the season's concluding races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, this will be a long but exciting three weeks for fans.
