Vernon Kay has hinted at a potential move away from the UK after admitting to 'messing up' a previous opportunity. The BBC presenter, who is married to Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, expressed his desire for another shot at America after seeing three opportunities to work there slip away.
Speaking on the Changes with Annie MacManus podcast, the Bolton-born Radio 2 host was asked about any changes he'd like to make in his life or the world around him.
Father of two Vernon replied: "Well, flippantly, I'd like another crack at America because I think I messed up. I did three network shows for America. I wouldn't say I messed that up. I think looking back, I was inexperienced."
He added: "I think, knowing, being more confident in myself and the way I work, I'd like another go at a game show in America. That's a big change," reports Lancs Live.

Despite his doubts about it happening, Vernon, 50, revealed he had 'three chances' to make it big in the USA - two for ABC and one for NBC.
Vernon said: "They lasted a series. If you want a laugh, go on YouTube and watch a game show I hosted called the Million Dollar Mind Game. It's basically me doing an impression of Roger Moore. 'Good evening and welcome to the Million Dollar Mind Game.'"
Vernon and his wife Tess Daly, 55, share two daughters and are considered one of the most influential couples in the entertainment industry, with Vernon having been a mainstay on British TV and radio for many years.

Vernon also opened up about the significant transformation he's witnessed in the showbiz world over his lengthy career, noting the stark changes that have occurred within broadcast and print media due to the digital revolution.
He reminisced on the podcast: "Showbusiness has definitely changed (over his 25-year career). I think we all know the economic circumstances at the moment in broadcast and print. Social media, or digital media, has had a massive impact on your traditional forms of media."
Vernon also shared nostalgic memories from the past, saying: "For example, when we did T4 holidays we would go away for two weeks to Ibiza and we'd record six weeks of shows. We had expenses. My expenses were vodka pineapples in Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, Cafe Mambo. Nowadays there's none of that.
"Budgets are so tight that you're there solely to work. The budget on T4 was massive. It was all paid off. It was unheard of."
