TIMOTHEE Chalamet sent fans wild as he made an surprise appearance at his OWN lookalike contest.
Onlookers were stunned when the Dune actor unexpectedly turned up to the much-publicised event in New York City this afternoon.
Videos circulated on social media showing the frenzy that took place when the Wonka actor, 28, rolled up in Lower Manhattan.
Spectators got way more than they expected when they turned up to see various men from across the country compete to be crowned the 'Best Tim' lookalike.
The winner received a $50 (£38) prize for being voted the best lookaline by the crowd, who had to shout the loudest for their fave 'Tim'.
But the biggest screams erupted when Timothee himself emerged amongst the crowd, flanked by security.
The A-lister, who dates Kylie Jenner, couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he witness the chaotic scenes.
Dressed casually in a blue jumper, white t-shirt and jeans, the Hollywood superstar took photos with fans who couldn't believe they were rubbing shoulders with the real deal.
Some fans, however, got a little too overexcited, with one seen being carted off in handcuffs by the police.
One onlooker told Mail Online: "They pushed one kid and then they started yelling like 'why the f*** would you push me,' and made a little circle. They ended up getting arrested."
Another described the scenes as "chaotic and intense."
The winner of the competition was Miles Mitchell, a 21-year-old Staten Island native, who dressed in a purple Willy Wonka outfit and threw candy to the crowd.
“I’m excited and I’m also overwhelmed,” Mitchell told abc news. “There were so many good look-alikes. It was really a toss-up.”
Flyers had been posted all around the city to build up anticipation for the event in recent days.
