Wendy Osefo had a great season on The Real Housewives of Potomac. The host of The Dr. Wendy Show took a step back from the drama and shared a refreshing and fun side to her personality. With such a positive experience, hopefully, Wendy is not in any hot seat at the reunion.
There is drama regarding the reunion though. News broke last minute about Karen Huger’s lack of attendance, which was filmed on January 9. The Grande Dame checked into a “private recovery program.” As surprising as Karen’s timing was, Wendy revealed that there will be more surprises along the way.
Wendy Osefo labeled Karen’s absence a “disappointment”
The political commentator gave an exclusive interview to Decider during which she teased what to expect at the reunion. She also discussed how authentic she was able to be this season.
Wendy revealed that she had “so much fun” filming the season and that she finally “got to be” herself.
“It’s not like I wasn’t myself in previous seasons, but there’s been so much tension within the group, and I had to protect my peace at times. This season though, I’m just Wendy, loud cackle and all [laughs],” she shared.
The interviewer then referred to other RHOP housewives agreeing that Mia Thornton would have “the most to answer for at the reunion.” Wendy was asked if “their predictions” were “correct.”
“50% yes. However, there’s a surprise. That’s all I can say,” Wendy said.
The discussion continued about Karen’s absence at the reunion. Her RHOP costar called it “disappointing.”
Wendy said, “We would have benefited from her perspective now. I will say that though she wasn’t there in person, she was there in spirit.”
“She checked herself into rehab,” she continued. “I think that her trying to find a way for healing supersedes anything that goes on in front of these cameras. She has to do what’s best for her right now.”
As for the rest of the season, Wendy revealed that the Panama trip changed the entire dynamic of the group.
“We get back home from Panama, and it’s like we all just lose our minds [laughs]. A few things happen, and it’s all going to make sense in the next few weeks. Pieces of puzzles are all going to start fitting together. I can say that the reunion answers every single question fans will have,” she concluded.
