Which country has the most Miss Universe winners and where does the United States rank?

The 73nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant will take place on November 16, 2024 in Mexico City, a country known for its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes and captivating beauty

The United States is the country with the most winners with a total of nine winners. The first time it did so was in 1954, when Miriam Jacqueline Stevenson won the contest.

The United States then added victories in 1956, 1960, 1967, 1980, 1995, 1997, 2012 and 2022. Olivia Frances Culpo won the contest in 2012 and it was R'Bonney Gabriel who was in charge of breaking the drought in January of this year, which corresponded to Miss Universe 2022, but was postponed so as not to compete with the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The second most wins in the Miss Universe pageant goes to Venezuela with seven in total. The pageant was won by the South American country in 1979, 1981, 1986, 1996, 2008 and 2009. The last time was in 2013 with the participant Mar?a Gabriela Iser.

Venezuela is the only country to have repeated beauty queen and Dayana Sabrina Mendoza had the honor of crowning her compatriot Stefan?a Fern?ndez as Miss Universe 2009.
