Kody and Christine’s child Paedon Brown seemingly threw shade at Kody in a September 2022 TikTok video.

“Any king that has to say, ‘I am the king,’ is no true king. Any man of the house that has to say, ‘I’m the man of the house,’ is no true man of the house,” he said. “Me and my siblings say that my mom is a strong independent woman all the time. People tell me, ‘Paedon, your mom, Christine, is a strong independent woman,’ all the time. My mom does not claim to be a strong independent woman because she is a strong independent woman.”

Paedon also did a tell-all interview with John Yates in January 2023 and claimed that Kody tried to get TLC to put a clause into contracts stating that no one would be “allowed to say anything negative about him on our [social media] platforms.”

“TLC was like, ‘I don’t think we should do that.’ And my mom was fighting. My mom was like, ‘No, you’re not allowed to tell our children what they can and can’t say about you. You have to earn their love back,’” Paedon alleged, adding, “He doesn’t want us talking negatively about him online.”
