How Did Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer Meet?
Lakiha was 18 years old when she met Mike at a boxing match she attended with her father, Muslim cleric Shamsud-Din Ali. He was a friend of boxing promoter Don King.
According to the New York Post, Don warned Mike, “Stay away from her. Don’t go talking to that girl. Leave these people alone. These are not the people to mess with.”
Five years later, Mike and Kiki started dating.
“I could never really get him out of my system,” she told The New York Times in 2012. “I would try and then we would get back with each other. He’s the only person I was ever able to fall back in love with several times.”
Kiki went on to describe her attraction to Mike as “like a moth to a flame.”
When Did Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer Get Married?
The couple tied the knot at the La Bella Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton, June 6, 2009. Their ceremony was private and low-key, as Mike’s daughter Exodus — whom he shared with ex Sol Xochitl — died the month prior in a freak accident where her neck became entangled in the cord of a home treadmill.
Mike and Kiki renewed their vows two years later, in a blowout celebration for family and friends at the M Resort in Las Vegas. Guests originally believed they were attending a joint birthday party for the couple.
“My wife & I are getting ready to host friends & family tonight. Many we haven’t seen in years. It’s going to be a great night,” he wrote ahead of the big evening in a June 25, 2011, post on Twitter (now X).
Mike and Kiki’s 15-year marriage is still going strong as of 2024.
Do Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer Have Kids?
Lakiha is the mother of Mike’s two youngest children, as he has five other kids from previous relationships.
The couple welcomed their daughter Milan on December 25, 2008. Kiki gave birth to their second child, son Morocco, on January 25, 2011.
In 2016, Mike gushed over Milan’s budding tennis skills, as she was a student at Las Vegas’ No Quit Tennis Academy, training under tennis legend Andre Agassi‘s dad Mike Agassi.
“This is really awesome,” the former heavyweight champ gushed to USA Today at the ATP Masters Series event. “Me and my wife both never in a hundred years anticipated we’d be tennis parents and traveling around the state. It’s amazing. I’m just happy to be here. She showed the aptitude for tennis, and I’m just supporting her. I’m really lost, but this is exciting.”

Kiki is an entrepreneur who has worked on various business ventures. She owns a clothing boutique and has worked on several projects involving her husband.
Kiki cowrote and executive produced the 2013 HBO special Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth.
Lakiha Spicer Served Time in Prison
Kiki was sentenced to federal prison in 2008. Her father’s company was charged with making fraudulent Philadelphia city contracts and loans to a Muslim school, and Kiki was allegedly on the family payroll, according to the New York Post. She has maintained her innocence in the case.
Kiki found out she was pregnant with Milan shortly before entering prison. She and Mike’s daughter was born shortly after her release in 2009.
