Why Katie Price fans think she is a new mum again after 'welcoming twins'

Katie Price shared a photo of herself cradling two newborn babies, but it's unclear who the children are and the former glamour model has not provided any further information

On Wednesday, Katie Price left her fanbase in disbelief as she posted a picture with newborn twins and claimed that they were 'hers'.

The former glamour model, 46, left her followers utterly confused by the picture of the two infants and some even jumped to the wrong conclusion altogether. One fan posted on social media: "if true, this is frightening" in a lengthy post, in which they said they believed Katie was pregnant.

Others jumped to the conclusion that Katie is a mum again after possibly welcoming the mystery twins by surrogate given her fertility issues.

However, the truth is that the TV personality isn't expecting - the image was actually shared because the mum-of-five is set to feature in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary about her IVF journey. The photo shows one baby dressed in pink and the other in grey, but Katie didn't reveal their identities.

With Katie's hand tenderly placed upon them, yet their faces out of view, speculation is rife over who these infants could be, especially since they are not related to her sister Sophie, who is expecting a single baby girl.

And others on social media also expressed their confusion at the snap. One Facebook user incorrectly claimed: "She’s expecting one girl." Another posted: "She’s being trusted with someone else babies?" A further user wrote: "These are dolls."

Katie, who has not been shy about her desire to have another child, once confidently asserted: "It's going to happen one way or another." It's already been a long journey for the mum-of-five, who went through a fertility battle supported by her then boyfriend Carl Woods before their split at the end of 2023.

Three rounds of IVF treatment were unsuccessful and Katie still dreams of a baby with her new partner, Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater. While she remains determined to expand her family, Katie's past attempts and the emotional rollercoaster of trying to have another child with Carl is set to be revealed on television screens next year. A bombshell documentary titled 'Katie Price: Making Babies' will air on Channel 4, it has been confirmed.

The documentary, expected to premiere in March, will delve into the raw and heartbreaking challenges they faced, potentially stirring up tough memories for both Katie and Carl. Katie has already confessed that she "can't" watch it back, while Carl finds the experience so harrowing that we're informed he's quite distraught about the release and is "trying to stop" it from going ahead.

"Carl doesn't want it aired it was filmed when the pair were a couple trying for a baby," an insider shared with OK! "It would bring back hurtful memories for him and it would open up a can of worms and demons he's worked hard to get rid of. He's closed that chapter with Katie."
