Netflix is expanding its partnership with WWE by bringing the popular WWE 2K video game series to mobile devices in fall 2025.

This move further solidifies Netflix's position in the gaming world, offering a mobile version of the beloved franchise exclusively through Netflix Games. This will mark the first time in nearly a decade that a WWE 2K mobile game has been released, as the last installment hit phones back in 2015.

The game will be part of Netflix's growing library of mobile games, which are included at no additional charge with a Netflix subscription—no ads, no in-app purchases, and no extra fees.

WWE 2K will join more than 100 other games already available on the platform, expanding the variety of titles Netflix offers its subscribers. It's another big step in Netflix's growing gaming ambitions, which are being led by Alain Tascan, a former Epic Games executive.

To announce the news, WWE icon CM Punk appeared in a video shared by Netflix, delivering an epic teaser for the upcoming release.

"Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for the ultimate smackdown from the comfort of your own — phone," Punk said. "WWE 2K is coming to mobile in late 2025 exclusively on Netflix Games. This isn't just another mobile game, this is your chance to live the most extreme, the most intense, the most dominant WWE experience right in the palm of your hands. So charge up your phone, prepare to become the champion of Netflix Games with WWE 2K on mobile."

This marks another major milestone in Netflix's relationship with WWE.

Earlier this year, the streaming service began airing Monday Night Raw live every week, marking the first time in over 30 years that the iconic wrestling show hasn't aired on traditional TV. Netflix reportedly paid $5 billion for the rights to stream Raw and other WWE programs over the next decade.

WWE 2K will follow this trend, providing Netflix subscribers exclusive access to the mobile version of the game.

It will join WWE 2K25, which is set to launch for consoles in March 2025, with Roman Reigns as its cover star. The WWE 2K franchise has been a fan favorite for 25 years, and Netflix is further leveraging its partnership with WWE to bring this high-intensity experience to mobile platforms.

This move also comes after Netflix's recent success in gaming, particularly with the release of Squid Game: Unleashed. That game has already become the platform's most downloaded title, outpacing even the mobile version of GTA: San Andreas by a significant margin in its first month.
