Logan Paul has found a surprising amount of success since coming to WWE.

The content creator and internet personality has proven that he is more than physically capable of performing in big-time matches while also garnering reactions from the crowd.

However, it appears that this may have gone to Paul's head.

On this past episode of Monday Night Raw, Paul was booed out of the building as he declared for the Royal Rumble.

In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, Paul declared that this reaction proved that he was the greatest heel in the history of professional wrestling.

"That will be the loudest sound in this arena tonight," Paul said. "The boos for Logan Paul. And that's why I get paid. And that is why I'm the best heel that professional wrestling has seen in... since professional wrestling started."

More than likely this was done to rile people up, and it seems this was more than successful. After all, this is disparaging the legacy of iconic wrestling villains like Ted Dibiase and Rowdy Roddy Piper.

However, the reaction to Paul never seems to be based on his choices in the ring or the actions he made as a character. Instead, this all seems to be about Paul as a person.

In wrestling, a heel's job is to get heat, meaning a negative reaction from the crowd. There are all kinds of heat, and many wrestlers have been successful in getting the crowd to hate them.

However, there's another kind of heat called "Go Away Heat" where a crowd is just tired of who they are seeing in the ring, whether it is a character that just isn't working or the person behind the character.

This has been seen all throughout wrestling, with the most recent example happening to Hulk Hogan on the Netflix premiere of Raw.

This seems to be the case with Paul at this moment, whose controversial actions outside of professional wrestling are getting more of a reaction than what he actually does in the ring.

Yes, Paul has proven that he can physically hold his own against other wrestlers. But compared to the likes of MJF, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Christian Cage, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Mariah May, and Hangman Adam Page, Logan Paul has a long way to go.
