Zendaya's "Strawberry Milk" Nails (and That Ring) Have Us Swooning

Minimalists, grab your pens and prepare to take notes — Zendaya just gave us manicure inspiration that we're going to be obsessing over. The "Challengers" star strutted down the Golden Globes red carpet on January 5, 2025, wearing a stunning rust-orange Louis Vuitton dress with matching satin heels and a diamond Bulgari choker featuring a sparkly green pendant. However, despite the large glitzy necklace and unrivaled elegance of her gown, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice an even more show-shopping detail of her look: the engagement ring on her left hand.

The actor has been in a long-term relationship with "Spiderman" costar Tom Holland since 2021. At this time, neither Holland nor Zendaya have confirmed the engagement news, but TMZ reported that sources close to the couple say Holland popped the question during an intimate moment over the holidays. And if that wasn't shocking enough, the star also appeared to have a tiny "T" tattoo.

Admittedly, while our eyes were momentarily blinded by the bling — we actually found ourselves drooling over her "strawberry milk" manicure, which complemented her new rock. Zendaya opted for a mid-length nail in a rounded square shape.

"'Strawberry milk' nails are a spin-off of milk-bath nails," manicurist Anahi Victoria says. "Instead of white, a cloudy pink is used for the base color." The shade is perfect for minimalists and anyone who enjoys a neutral nail.

If you're looking to try the trend out for yourself, make sure you bring a photo with you to the nail salon. In our humble opinion, shots of Zendaya's manicure on the Golden Globes red carpet would do the trick. "Ask for a mix of jelly white and pink polishes," Victoria says. "You can always add more from there."

If you're more of a DIY person, strawberry-milk nails are easy to recreate at home with the right products. You'll want to start with a milky-white base, like the classic OPI Funny Bunny ($9). From there, you can layer over the top a sheer pink, like OPI Love is in the Bare ($12). You can also opt to mix the two shades together to create the perfect tone.

All we know is if the strawberry-milk nail trend is good enough for Zendaya's debut engagement manicure, they're 100 percent good enough for us.
