Zoe Saldaña has been married to her husband, Italian artist Marco Perego, since 2015, so the hot take she shared regarding her kissing preferences might surprise you.
"Girls are such better kissers," the 46-year-old Emilia Perez star said in an interview with W Magazine, published on Friday, January 3. The Guardians of the Galaxy actress had just been asked about who her first kiss was, and she explained that her first smooch was with a girl.
"I must have been 13 or 14," she told the outlet, although she went on to imply that her adolescent advances weren't always well-received. "I was that girl who said, 'Let's play house,'" she explained, "and that's why I wasn't invited to play at people's houses!"
Still, the From Scratch star said she "was already kissing a whole bunch of girls by the time [she] was 13, 14." She explained that she'd always been attracted to a certain amount of gender fluidity, as her childhood crushes were Prince and Annie Lennox.
"There was just something androgynous about them," she explained. "I love a woman who's masculine and a man who is feminine. I find that to be really sexy."
The fluidity of gender and sexuality is a major theme of Emilia Perez, the film in which Saldaña is nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.
The movie musical follows a feared Mexican cartel leader (Karla Sofía Gascón) who enlists a lawyer (Saldaña) to help her disappear and achieve her dream of transitioning into a woman. Saldaña and Gascón, along with co-stars Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz, were jointly awarded the Best Actress title for Emilia Perez at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
In the same interview, the actress discussed her history as a ballet dancer, her three sons, and her talent for parallel parking.
