Addison Rae Is Staying True to ‘Aquamarine’ Vibes in Mermaid Skirt

Addison Rae’s fame has been on an upward curve following the release of her song “Diet Pepsi.” Now, the singer is back in the spotlight for her new song, “Aquamarine,” which released on October 25. The single pays homage to the 2006 fantasy rom-com of the same name starring Emma Roberts and Sara Paxton.

Recently, Rae appeared to stay true to the energy of the song as she made a striking appearance at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday. The singer opted for a sequined mermaid-themed ensemble by Thom Browne for the star-studded event in New York.

Addison Rae brought high fashion glamor to the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards in a showstopping Thom Browne mermaid-inspired ensemble. She radiated pure “Aquamarine” vibes while attending the red carpet event at the American Museum of Natural History.

According to PEOPLE, the Thom Browne number included a gorgeous light gray-toned plaid mermaid skirt covered in paillette. The ensemble also included a sleeveless corset top in dark gray. Featuring a square neckline, the corset top had thin straps and buttons in the front. It also incorporated fringe-like cutouts from the waistline that decorated the waist area. As such, the addition of the cutouts added more drama to the dress.

Preserving the mermaid look, Addison Rae accessorized her ensemble with an alluring statement pearl neckpiece. She even flaunted a beautiful conch shell clutch, which further channeled the vibe of “Aquamarine.” As for makeup, Rae went for a classy glamorous look with glittery eyeshadow, dark eyebrows, eyeliner, mascara, a subtle pink blush on her cheeks, and a glossy pink lip. The singer showed off a shimmery manicure as well. Lastly, she kept her long blonde hair loose in natural breezy waves and a side part.
