Dance lover and host of Dancing with the Stars, Alfonso Ribeiro injured himself on set while filming a special number at Disney World. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, though sources confirm that the injury appears to be minor and won’t keep him off the dance floor for too long.

The actor and DWTS host was filming the ABC holiday special at the famous Florida theme park and witnesses saw him injure himself when he stepped on one of the rails of the trolly and rolled his ankle.

Alfonso Ribeiro was in pain and not feeling so great

TMZ reported the injury and shared a video of the aftermath of the misstep. Alfonso can be seen leaning heavily on his cohost and good friend Julianne Hough. He seemed afraid of putting weight on the injured ankle. Eventually, a crew member ran a chair over so Alfonso could sit.

While seated he tried to roll out his ankle which is what you do when you are trying to stretch out a cramp. But he still looked like he was in a lot of pain when the clip ended. Onlookers said that eventually he was given a wheelchair and to bolster his spirit, the audience gave him a big round of applause.

Unfortunately, it turns out Alfonso wasn’t feeling too great though. He also threw up in a trashcan on the side of the street.

TMZ further added that sources with direct knowledge of the incident and production confirmed that the injury was just minor and that he was fine. Alfonso is also expected to return to finish filming the special. He will also continue his hosting duties as normal, including taking part in DWTS’ 500th episode special.

Looks like a simple injury can’t keep a good dancer down. Alfonso has been a staple of DWTS since his time on the show. Every week, he is seen regularly grooving to the opening number on the DWTS stage. His dancing roots go far beyond DWTS. Many fans still remember his popular dance “The Carlton” from The Fresh Prince of Bel-AIr.

It’s good to know he won’t be sidelined by his injury.
